Rare collection of WWII vehicles up for auction in Tooele

Tooele, UT (ABC4 News) - A total of 24 military vehicles, built from the 1940's through the 1960's and all ranging in make, model, build and condition, will be hitting the auction block in Tooele starting Tuesday, May 21.
Tooele, UT (ABC4 News) - A total of 24 military vehicles, built from the 1940's through the 1960's and all ranging in make, model, build and condition, will be hitting the auction block in Tooele starting Tuesday, May 21.

The vehicles, used by the U.S. Military both domestically and internationally, range from cargo trucks, utility trucks, fire trucks, tractor trucks and dump trucks; all were procured over the years by Jack Tomlin, a U.S. Marine and Tooele resident who upon his retirement, began collecting WWII military paraphernalia and military vehicles until he passed away in 2010.

Government Liquidation, the exclusive sales channel for Defense Department surplus, will be auctioning this collection of antique vehicles on behalf of the Jack Braton Tomlin Trust via its website www.GovLiquidation.com.

Online bidding for the 24 vehicles begins Tuesday, May 21 at 12am ET and closes Thursday, May 23 at 5pm ET. Bidding for each vehicle starts at $25. Interested buyers can preview the vehicles ahead of time at the Tooele location upon request.
