Pretty Watermelon and Marinade for Raw Veggies

Gretchen shows us how to make a pretty watermelon and also, a mariande for raw veggies.

RECIPE:

Pretty Watermelon

Lay a watermelon on its side. Cut about 1" from the center. Make another cut 1" on the other side from the center. You should be left with the two ends of the watermelon. The center should be a complete circle. Take a melon ball scooper and scoop out the watermelon and place on top of the center cut. Keep scooping until the center cut looks like it is holding a mound of watermelon scoops.

Marinade For Raw Vegetables

1 Cup Italian Salad Dressing

¼ Cup Rice Vinegar

¼ Cup sugar

1 tsp salt, ¼ tsp. pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

Mix all in a bowl and add assortment of raw chopped veggies. I used carrots, celery, mix of colored bell peppers, and cucumbers. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
