Chocolate Cake in a Mug with Strawberries & Whipped Cream
¼ c. chocolate chips (more for topping)
5 Tbsp. water
4 oz. pkg Shirley J Mugging
Chocolate Brownie Cake Mix
sweetened whipped cream
Pour 1 packet of Mugging! Chocolate Brownie Cake into a 16 oz. (2 c.) microwave safe mug. Add 5 tablespoons warm water. Mix vigorously with a fork or small whisk for 20-30 seconds. If using, add 1/4 c. chocolate chips to batter, stir.
Microwave on high for 90 seconds*. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick into center. If it comes out clean, cake is done. If not, zap for a few more seconds.
If using, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top. Let melt then spread with back of spoon to frost. Top with sweetened whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberries.
* Microwaves vary in power. Instructions are for an 1100 watt oven. Lower wattage microwaves will require additional cook time.
Mug may be hot to the touch, take care when removing from microwave. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes before eating.
