"You may look the same, act the same, but there is one element I am sure you want to be slightly different this spring and that is what your wearing pool side this summer. Swimsuit season is officially here and I know many are not loving and many are super excited. But if there is one thing we all know we will be stressing about is what swimsuit will you be buying? Which one is the hottest for the season? What prints should I get? What cut should I get? What is appropriate for my age and or my body type? Well today I will be going over some of my faves and some simple tips that will help you and your daughter have that shopping harmony for swimwear this season.
Good For Moms: One shoulder one piece. When you think sporty as a mom I always think…What can I wear chasing after my 5-year-old and look clean sporty and put together? Or how can I party with the 13-year-old down the water slide without embarrassing him with my bikini being on top of my head instead of where it should be? Go with the sporty one piece your still cute and you can be comfy as well. Nothing screams cute more than comfortable in your own skin and with fit and classic coloring. Holds you in tight and is very flattering.
Good For daughter: Hot print right now and style is the chevron and some hot pink colors. I love hot pink this season and you know who can pull it off is that little thing your daughter. Let you daughter have the bright light when your together. No need to clash with her and where your neons that day by the pool. Now that being said mom's don't think I am saying you can't rock neons because you know I have many neons suits this year, just means when your together let you daughter look like the the teen not you. The bandeau bikini is super hot style right now and I love it with a tie or bow to off set the colors.
Good For mom: For the mom that has been working her butt off all season and wants to rock that two piece and can.....go with some fun prints this year and add some ruffles for the fancy look. Make it look a bit more fluffy and add some fun ruffles. You worked hard you deserve to show off what you worked for. But make sure you do it in a classy way and don't have things hanging out because your suit is too small. The perfect fit is key and any store stylist can help you with this. Don't be afraid to ask, because it's better to have the store stylist tell you it's too small and not the lifeguard at the pool.
Good for daughter: Patterns everywhere...mix and match your colors and your patterns. It's super trendy right now and the more it does not match sometimes the better so get creative. I love a cute daughter to go sporty as well. The younger girls are starting to catch on to the trend of vintage and high waisted. So in this fact it can go both ways here. Sporty VS. Sexy for the youth and I love that they can still have that sporty vibe that helps with the modest edge.
So this year make sure you use these swim buying tips:
Bigger chest:cup top, tie around the neck or shoulders, stay way from strap less without a cup
Smaller chested: One shoulder strap, sporty tankini, x back, stay away from cups
Bigger hips: Go with a swim skirt, vintage one piece with longer sides, full back, one piece helps. Stay away from string sides that push out unwanted areas
Smaller hips: Anything usually looks great on your body! But side ties look fab, high-waisted looks super cute, and anything that has a great tight fit.
Bigger Tummy: One piece, Tankini, blouses tankini"
