Features of the new Hoopes Vision facility
Four distinct areas for patient care
-Our laser surgery suite features more wavefront-optimized lasers than any other center in Utah.
-Our ambulatory surgery center, EyeSurg of Utah, is the only center in the United States to have both of the first two cataract lasers approved by the FDA: the Optimedica Catalys and the Alcon LenSx. We’re also one of the few centers in the country performing advanced partial thickness and laser-assisted corneal transplant procedures.
-Our Clinical Research Center allows us to stay at the forefront of vision correction technology by participating in clinical trials of new technologies, procedures, and medicines.
-Our clinic area features over twice as many exam rooms as our previous center and is designed for optimal flow of patients, allowing our ten doctors to work as efficiently as possible. The clinic features an enormous collection of testing devices for mapping and measuring the eye, providing our doctors an invaluable diagnostic tool when evaluating potential surgery patients.
How does this benefit the patient?
-Expanded and redesigned clinic area leads to shorter wait times and an even more pleasant patient experience.
-ASC specializing in eye surgery provides a patient experience that would be difficult to attain in a hospital or general surgery center: faster, smoother, more efficient, reduced incidence of post-operative infection.
-Wide array of diagnostic equipment allows us to perform incredibly detailed pre-operative examinations, excluding patients who are not good candidates for surgery, predicting possible complications, and ensuring superior surgical results.
-Extensive laser technology available in the laser surgery suite means treatment can be tailored to patients’ individual needs, using wavefront-optimized lasers that have been shown to reduce or eliminate issues such as nighttime halo and glare.
We’re proud of our new facility and we’re excited for the many benefits it offers our patients. We want patients, prospective patients, and even anyone who’s just been thinking about vision correction surgery, to be able to see what we can offer. This open house gives us an opportunity to do that, in a friendly, stress-free environment. Please come see us: drop by, see the building, and meet the doctors and staff.
