She says a DSLR camera will provide the best results. Also, set up a tripod and consider using a remote release for the shots.
When it comes to framing the shot, Kari suggests you scope out your location first. Then, decide if the pictures will be best taken vertically or horizontally. And, remember your framing... don't look through the view finder, instead anticipate your shot.
Kari says to shoot in manual mode,ISO 100, f/8 (B) Bulb Mode and focus manually.
Do not use a flash.
