“It will be the shortest day of the year in Park City, but our Electric Parade will light the night with beautiful displays of lights and music,” HPCA executive director Alison Butz said. “Everything from cars and golf carts to trucks and trailers will be welcome to parade along Main Street and spread the holiday cheer.”
The Electric Parade is seeking participants for the event. Entry is free, and prizes will be awarded in five categories: Mayor’s Award/Best in Show, Power to Make it Happen/Best Use of Lights, Entrepreneurs Unite/Small Business Award, Park City Style/Most True to Authentic Park City, and Holiday Time in the Mountains/Best Christmas Spirit. Each winner will receive an HPCA gift certificate, valid at any participating HPCA member store or restaurant.
The parade’s judges this year include: Stacy Dymalski, Leslie Thatcher, Debra Barfield Corrigan, Jonathan DeGray, Lori Harris and Jill Rathburn.
Participants are asked to meet at City Park at 5:45 p.m., where they’ll depart for Main Street at 6 p.m. The vehicles will proceed up Park Avenue to the top of Main Street, head down Swede Alley, across Heber Avenue, and down toward the finish on lower Main Street.
To register for the parade, email Butz at firstname.lastname@example.org by December 20th at 5:00pm.
