A cold front will move through the state today. Highs will be below average across the Wasatch Front, with readings falling through the 50s into the 40s this afternoon and evening. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy, with a few isolated mountain snow showers. A north wind will pick up through the day, gusting higher than 20mph this afternoon and evening. Southern Utah will still be warm and mostly sunny, with highs in the 70s to around 80. Tonight, the colder air moves in, and most of the Wasatch Front will see temperatures dropping below freezing. After a chilly start to Tuesday, highs will run about 10-15 degrees below average with mostly sunny skies. Afternoon readings will be around 50, with 30s-40s in the higher elevations. Southern Utah will be mostly sunny, but highs will mainly be in the 50s across the higher terrain, with 60s to around 70 over the lower elevations.
Warmer air will slowly move in for the rest of the week, and into the weekend. It will be dry, mostly sunny, with highs closing in on 70 for the Wasatch Front, and into the 80s across southern Utah.
