Dense fog tonight with the inversion back in place.
The inversion is back, as the start of February sees a continuation of the pattern that was around the entire month of January. Locally dense fog will persist Sunday night into Monday morning, with areas of ice crystals and freezing fog that will make for slick spots on the roads. Lows will generally be in the 10s to around 20. Monday will have a foggy start, and temperatures will be cold, with highs in the 20s to around 30. High clouds will make for a fairly gray day. Tuesday will have morning fog and hazy sunshine by afternoon. A weak front will move across the state Tuesday night and Wednesday, which will provide just a little help to clean out the air. There will be minor improvements, but we'll really have to wait until the next storm moves in on Friday. Low pressure will move right across the state, making snow for the Wasatch Front and the mountains, with some rain down in Dixie. The snow will linger into Saturday.
Have a great week.
