Get ready for a stormy weekend.
Friday's Pinpoint Forecast: Get ready for a stormy weekend. Today will be hot and mainly dry, with a few isolated storms over the mountains and southwest Utah. Highs will be in the 90s up north, 100 for Salt Lake City, and in the 90s to low 100s around Dixie. This weekend, tropical moisture and monsoon moisture will converge on the state resulting in widespread thunderstorms and the potential of flash flooding for the entire state. The focus of the storms will be in the western and central part of the state on Saturday, shifting to eastern Utah on Sunday. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s across the state, but be prepared for much cooler temperatures in rain and storms. Storms will stick around for Monday, but drier weather will take over on Tuesday. If you're headed to the Wildflower Festival, bring and umbrella and some rain gear because storms are likely starting Saturday afternoon.
Have a great weekend!
